My lovely girl loves to pretend. She can spend hours “cooking” and having picnics. For her birthday I decided to make her a play kitchen. The main part of it a a $15 nightstand from Ikea.
From there, I added a door with a handle for the stove, knobs, painted black circles for burners. The faucet is an upside down “J” from the craft store and the handles are little wooden peg people. The sink is a dog bowl. The skirt is hung from a dowel. Her new favorite color is green, with pink close in running so the kitchen is pink and green. Right now she’s cooking Barbies. Bon appetite!

So cute – love it!!
Thanks Jen!
aww now that is just fantastic! The girls haven’t had a play kitchen since their cheap plastic one broke… =(
We had a cheap plastic one too. It fell over if you looked at it. It went to Goodwill about a year ago and it has been missed. This one probably ended up costing $50. One day I hope to add a fridge.
